Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care to clients in various settings, including hospitals, residential facilities, and community settings. You will work closely with inter-professional teams to design, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans that promote community functioning and reduce re-hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing intensive outreach nursing care, case management, and mental health and substance use support services to assigned clients.
  • Design, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans to maximize community functioning and reduce re-hospitalization.
  • Work in close association with inter-professional community mental health and substance use staff, emergency services, Indigenous partners, and community service providers.
  • Assess and intervene with clients to provide nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, the public, medical staff, and the interdisciplinary team using verbal, written, and computer communication means.
Requirements
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or a practicing RPN registrant.
  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience in mental health and substance use programming or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Advanced preparation in area(s) of clinical specialty, including Psychedelic Assisted Therapy RN.
  • Experience with varying forms of healing modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and more.
