Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Freshco Coliseum 8968. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our produce department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of produce staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of product quality.
- Manage Merchandise Orders: Coordinate and manage the receipt, storage, and rotation of produce inventory to ensure that products are fresh and of high quality.
- Approve Merchandise Returns: Process and approve returns of produce products, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their purchases.
- Set Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for produce staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
- Generate Reports: Analyze sales data and generate reports on sales, merchandising, and personnel issues to inform business decisions.
- Address Customer Requests: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to produce products or services.
- Organize and Oversee Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels, manage stockroom operations, and ensure that products are properly stored and rotated.
- Supervise and Coordinate Workers: Supervise and coordinate the activities of produce staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct Performance Evaluations: Evaluate the performance of produce staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve their skills and productivity.
- Handling Heavy Loads: Regularly lift, carry, and move heavy produce products and equipment.
- Walking and Standing: Spend extended periods walking and standing while working in the produce department.
- Organized: Possess excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Reliable: Demonstrate a high level of reliability and accountability in your work.
- Team Player: Work collaboratively with other departments and staff to achieve business objectives.
- Strong Written Communication Skills: Possess excellent written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, staff, and management.
- Training for Inclusive Work Environment: Provide training to create an inclusive work environment for individuals with disabilities.
- Recruitment Policies: Implement recruitment policies to support newcomers and refugees.
- Welcoming Work Environment: Facilitate a welcoming work environment for youths.
