Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as:
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and facilitate the continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives within the Assembly and Molding Departments.
- Lead and manage the Cost Reduction Plan (CRP) projects from inception to completion, focusing on process enhancements and lean methodologies while minimizing costs.
- Coordinate reviews and development of workstation setups in Assembly, optimizing machine and press cycle times in alignment with budgetary constraints, while actively seeking improvement opportunities through a Cross-Functional Team approach.
- Maintain a continuous emphasis on safety and ergonomics, ensuring ongoing improvements.
- Analyze data and provide recommendations to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Identify and implement innovative technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the Quality department in addressing customer concerns and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop strategies for the efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and personnel, including training development and facilitation.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by engaging cross-functional teams during planning and implementation reviews, involving all employee levels.
- Exemplify professionalism and sound decision-making to inspire all employees.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and IATF (including ISO 9001) standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Promote adherence to local, provincial, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Assist colleagues as necessary to promote operational success with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science in Industrial and/or Mechanical Engineering or a College Diploma in Industrial and/or Mechanical Engineering is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Automotive Management or a related field, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in the Plastics and/or Automotive Industry or a comparable field.
