Position Overview: CAP Engineering is currently in search of a Geotechnical Engineer with 3-5 years of relevant experience, who will be stationed at our Whitehorse office. A relocation package is available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site investigations to evaluate geological and geotechnical conditions.
  • Perform geotechnical analysis and design for various infrastructure initiatives.
  • Develop strong foundation designs tailored to project specifications and site conditions.
  • Provide expert construction support and guidance to ensure project success.
  • Conduct detailed site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and evaluate risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports documenting findings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff to promote professional growth and ensure project success.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure project completion.
  • Maintain a sharp attention to detail in project execution and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Geological Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience specifically in geotechnical engineering.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, including technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong client relations skills, effectively managing project deliverables within established timelines and budgets.
  • Possession of an unrestricted Class 5 driver's license to facilitate project site visits.
  • Firm dedication to safety protocols and sustainable engineering practices.
  • Willingness to work various shifts and travel as necessary.
