Join Our Team: WSP Canada is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to become a vital part of our Ground Engineering and Materials Team. This role is pivotal in managing and executing significant projects across various regions. We are committed to supporting relocation and accommodation for qualified candidates.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with engineering professionals on geotechnical consulting assignments;
  2. Disseminate technical expertise across different regions to encourage innovative solutions;
  3. Lead the development of geotechnical assessments and engineering documentation, offering insights on diverse geotechnical elements in projects;
  4. Provide specialized geotechnical engineering knowledge to enhance multi-disciplinary initiatives, including infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, and tunnels;
  5. Oversee and execute projects that necessitate geotechnical investigation strategies, including preparing tender documents and evaluating contractor proposals;
  6. Analyze and address geotechnical challenges such as settlement issues, slope stability, and excavation procedures;
  7. Support field activities through the supervision of various geotechnical tests and construction processes;
  8. Engage in additional responsibilities as required by the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. A degree in Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized institution;
  2. Registered or eligible for registration as a professional geotechnical engineer;
  3. A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in geotechnical or geomechanics engineering;
  4. Proficiency in geotechnical software tools such as GeoStudio and Rocscience;
  5. Self-motivated with a proactive approach;
  6. Proven track record of delivering projects within set timelines and budgets;
  7. Ability to critically assess geotechnical analysis outputs.
