About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Reads Heating Edmonton. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, such as preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including trial balances, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Word, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
