Job Title: Building Services Worker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Services Worker to join our team at Delco Building Maintenance (2007) Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our residents and staff.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and initiative.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Work in a variety of settings, including apartment/condominium complexes and janitorial service companies.
Education and Certifications:
  • Building service worker course.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Language:

English.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week.
