Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Director to lead our retail operations and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales goals, building strong relationships with clients, and leading a team of sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Development and Retention
- Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, resulting in increased sales and repeat business.
- Lead by example in building and maintaining relationships with clients, producing strong results from proactive outreach, and developing a personal business trade.
- Recruit, hire, train, and motivate qualified sales teams that effectively represent and communicate the Kate Spade brand to our clients.
- Develop a talent pool to achieve succession planning goals and provide specific development for store managers, assistant managers, and supervisors.
- Strategically partner with the Kate Spade New York corporate team and serve as the primary liaison between corporate headquarters and the store team and direct manager.
- Build strong business relationships with employees, vendors, and clients as a brand ambassador of the company.
- Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including counting register funds, completing bank deposits, opening and closing registers, and securing the facility.
- Conduct regular store meetings to ensure accurate and consistent communication with employees.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of management experience in luxury goods or a comparable retail environment with a focus on clienteling.
- Multi-store management experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
- Available to work store schedule, as needed, including evenings and weekends.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Able to safely lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable climbing ladders.
