We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Operations Coordinator to join our team at Calgary Excavating and Trucking Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment, as well as maintaining accurate records and logs. This is a fast-paced environment that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including vehicle operator work records and mileage
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and respond to urgent calls as required
  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations to ensure optimal resource allocation
  • Perform general office duties, including data entry and communication with customers and staff
  • Assist with maintenance of communications equipment and ensure that all necessary tools and equipment are available
  • Provide customer service and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in transportation logistics or a related field is an asset
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and logs

  • May require overtime, including evenings and weekends
