About the Role

Vancouver International Airport is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our learning and development initiatives. As Director, Learning & Development, you will be responsible for creating and implementing corporate learning strategies that align with our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of learning and development professionals, setting performance expectations and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Strategic Leadership and Direction: Align learning initiatives with organizational goals, conduct needs assessments, and introduce innovative learning approaches.
  • Talent Development and Performance Enhancement: Design and execute employee development programs, provide leadership development support, and monitor employee progress.
  • Program Management and Implementation Excellence: Oversee the design and execution of learning programs, manage employee onboarding, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build partnerships, stay updated on industry trends, and promote knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in learning and development, with leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in adult learning, human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • Proven track record in strategic leadership and corporate learning initiatives implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies.
