About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Stock Associate to join our team at Roots. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Own the timely processing and prioritization of merchandise receipts, continuously seeking to improve systems, processes, and methods.
  • Backroom Organization: Ensure the backroom is organized to company standards, updating as seasonally appropriate.
  • Replenishment Processes: Maintain a full and abundant sales floor with all styles, colors, and sizes represented.
  • Department Changes: Proactively monitor, communicate, and react to department changes/issues such as high/low sell-through, replenishment/overstock needs, etc.
  • Inventory Procedures: Own the execution of inventory-based procedures, including damages, transfers, receiving, WebIM Work List maintenance, Leather Repair Logs, and other compliance-related items.
  • Supply Order Process: Own the supply order process.
  • Stock Associate Development: Own the recruitment and development cycle of stock associates, including interviewing, onboarding, assessment/accountability, succession planning, and recognition.
  • Physical Inventory: Support the physical inventory process and cycle count process, and implement store strategies to reduce shrink, such as security tagging.
  • Visual Merchandising: Support the execution of visual merchandising flips and maintenance of the presentation standards of a flagship location.
  • Event Preparation: Support all event preparation and execution.
  • Housekeeping: Support housekeeping and maintenance of both the sales floor and stock room.
  • Product Knowledge: Keep current on our product and service updates.
  • Team Player: Be a team player and contribute to the stores' success.
  • Loss Prevention: Adhere to all Loss Prevention policies as per guidelines and policies.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of management experience, preferably in retail apparel.
  • Excellent presentation skills in a retail environment.
  • Upbeat, optimistic, passionate, and friendly.
  • Ability to understand the needs of the customer.
  • Ability to build buy-in to an idea, a decision, an action, a product, or a service.
