About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Reitmans. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of sales associates to achieve sales and profit goals, while maintaining a high level of customer service.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and improve customer engagement.

  • Monitor and control store expenses, including inventory management, labor costs, and visual merchandising.

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, including sales, customer service, and operational excellence.

  • Recruit, train, and develop top talent to ensure a high-performing team.

  • Implement visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging and inviting shopping environment.

  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including sales data, customer feedback, and employee performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of leadership and supervisory experience in a retail environment.

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
