About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Processing Clerk to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of patient information.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative analysis to guarantee the precision of patient records.
  • Maintain an electronic tracking system for incomplete patient charts, ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide administrative support to managers and physicians by typing various documents, including memos, correspondence, medical reports, meeting minutes, and notes.
  • Organize and manage patient records, reports, and other essential documents, ensuring efficient retrieval and filing.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding patient information, adhering to legislative statutes, IHA guidelines, and established policies and procedures for Release of Information.
  • Perform data entry functions for clinical registries and databases, contributing to accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Assist physicians in completing patient documentation by conducting quantitative analysis and providing support.
  • Handle reception duties, including answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages, and directing visitors. Manage incoming and outgoing mail (both paper and electronic).
