As a Care Team Assistant with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will play a vital role in providing direct, hands-on care to patients based on their individual needs. Working under the supervision of regulated health professionals, you will be responsible for supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. This includes reinforcing patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual who possesses the following qualifications:
- Continuing Care Assistant Program
- Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Competencies in other languages, with French being an asset
While certification is preferred, we will consider candidates who are eligible to write the CCA knowledge exam and obtain certification within one year from their date of hire.
HoursThis is a permanent part-time position, working 45 hours bi-weekly.
Compensation and IncentivesThe successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $25.70 and may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
