Nurse Care Specialist

Job Summary
Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Country Village Homes in Woodslee, Ontario. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional resident care while following established protocols and maintaining physicians' orders.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Organize and direct functions related to the provision of care to residents, including training and professional development of new staff.
- Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, referring concerns to the Director of Care as needed.
Requirements
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in order of urgency.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
- French speaking an asset, but not required.
