About the Opportunity

As a Care Team Assistant with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will play a vital role in providing direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs. Working under the supervision of regulated health professionals, you will support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for individuals who have completed the Continuing Care Assistant Program and hold Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness. You should also have current Basic Life Support Certification and demonstrate effective listening and communication skills. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours

This is a permanent part-time position, working 45 hours bi-weekly. You will be part of a collaborative care team and will have the opportunity to work with patients and families in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Compensation and Incentives

You will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate of $23.71 - $25.70, as well as eligibility for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
