We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Engineering Intern to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions. As a Sustainability Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for executing discrete projects that support the implementation of business operations initiatives, technical development efforts, and increasing efficiencies of how we work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a focus on sustainability. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively, and possess good technical writing and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities will include developing and refining methodology for assessing Veolia WTS solutions from a sustainability standpoint, applying the methodology on discrete commercial project quantifications, creating and/or adapting project quantification tools, and coordinating quarterly employee Sustainability Education sessions.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline, minimum completion of 2nd year, with preference for candidates that have completed their 3rd year.
  • Academic focus on sustainability, whether through course work or as a designated minor is beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team and department projects.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks at hand.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment.
  • Good technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to present to large audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers.
  • Able to network both internally and externally.
