Vertex is seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB. As a key member of our operations team, you will provide administrative support to our management team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative office duties and support to the operations team
  • Complete all billing and client invoicing in a timely manner
  • Perform time entry for payroll within set timelines
  • Generate various reports, both routine and ad-hoc, to support business decisions
  • Assist the accounting department with customer account reconciliations, tracking, and follow-ups
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all employees
  • Ensure adherence to all safety procedures, policies, protocols, standards, and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher education; post-secondary education is an asset
  • Minimum 2 years working knowledge of basic accounting and invoicing processes
  • Experience in the trucking industry would be an asset
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Location:

  • This position will be based out of Grande Prairie, AB.
