Job Description

Job Summary:

The Content Specialist, Standards Development will be a key member of the Accreditation Canada International Standards development team. This role will work closely with the Senior Program Manager or Program Manager to deliver high-quality standards that promote quality and safety in health and social services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members across business units, subject matter experts, and members of Technical Committees to develop and maintain standards.
  • Proofread, edit, and revise standards content following standards development operating procedures and writing guides.
  • Track and monitor project milestones, including coordinating content translation.
  • Manage content development, organization, storage, and reporting.
  • Conduct environmental scanning and synthesis of published literature to inform standards development.
  • Support engagement strategies with partners, advisors, and subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate development meetings and present content to support standards development.
  • Generate presentations, reports, and briefing notes relative to standards development.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in healthcare, healthcare policy, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization skills, able to manage multiple competing project deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Environmental scanning, literature search, and content synthesis skills.
  • Able to take initiative with critical thinking skills, while raising risks and barriers to the Project Manager early and often.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector, clinical quality improvement, and patient safety.
  • Background in standards development, accreditation, or regulation.
