Senior Indigenous Relations Consultant

Ministry: Government Relations

Salary Range: $51.598 Hourly

The Government of Saskatchewan's Ministry of Government Relations is seeking a Senior Indigenous Relations Consultant to become a vital member of the Aboriginal Consultation Unit within the Lands and Consultation Branch. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in relationship management, effective communication, and critical analysis. Key responsibilities encompass offering strategic policy guidance, fostering connections with diverse stakeholders, and facilitating the management of the First Nation and Métis Consultation Participation Fund.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver strategic policy advice and support for implementation
  • Establish and nurture relationships with provincial Ministries, Crown corporations, and various agencies
  • Conduct internal training sessions and external outreach initiatives
  • Assist in the management of the Consultation Participation Fund

Applicants should possess a degree or diploma in public policy, social sciences, or a related discipline, coupled with experience collaborating with Indigenous communities and industry within the lands and resource sectors.

Preference will be accorded to qualified members of equity groups. Indigenous individuals are encouraged to apply.
