The Government of Saskatchewan's Ministry of Government Relations is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join the Aboriginal Consultation Unit team within the Lands and Consultation Branch.
We are looking for a qualified professional with a strong background in government relations, policy development, and consultation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with provincial Ministries, Crowns, and agencies, as well as First Nation and Métis communities.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in public policy, social sciences, resource management, or a related field, combined with several years of experience working with Indigenous communities and industry in the lands and resource sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing policy advice and implementation support to officials across government and senior management, as well as supporting the administration of the First Nation and Métis Consultation Participation Fund.
The team is also responsible for delivering internal training and external outreach related to government's duty to consult, which may involve travel to rural and remote Aboriginal communities.
