The Pension & Retirement Consultant will report directly to the Principal Consultant & Practice Lead. The ideal candidate will oversee a portfolio of clients to ensure exceptional levels of client satisfaction and retention. This position involves consulting and collaborating with clients on their employee retirement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with key clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with various teams within Cowan to contribute to the overall growth strategy.
  • Deliver annual plan reviews, marketing strategies, plan member communication, and other projects for your client portfolio.
  • Mentor and support other team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Receive assistance from colleagues in managing client relationships, including support for annual plan reviews and investment strategies.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the retirement sector with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong networking capabilities within the community and at industry events, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven with a proven track record of contributing to business growth.
  • Possession of an LLQP license in Ontario or willingness to obtain one.
  • CEBS designation (or in progress) is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated region.
