About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Administrative Director of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PLM). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Director's office, establishing administrative procedures and guidelines, and acting as a liaison with other clerical support within the portfolio.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a Grade 12 plus post-secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration, or secretarial program. You will also have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive management level. Previous experience in PLM or other healthcare settings is an asset. You will possess considerable organization and time management skills, as well as strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Administrative Director, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records
  • Establish and maintain administrative procedures and guidelines for the Director's office
  • Act as a liaison with other clerical support within the portfolio
  • Participate on Departmental and provincial committees or working groups as assigned
