We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Warehouse and Shipping Supervisor to manage the daily operations of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring the seamless operation of warehouse activities, overseeing delivery logistics, and collaborating with other Warehouse Supervisors within the organization.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, maintaining high standards in customer service, inventory management, and staff oversight.

Delivery Oversight:

Support and supervise the delivery operations for the location. Ensure that delivery personnel are well-trained and knowledgeable about procedures and safety protocols. Address any customer service issues related to deliveries and manage resolutions for product damages.

Inventory Oversight:

Oversee inventory control, ensuring accuracy and security. Work alongside Senior Management and IT to develop and maintain an effective inventory barcoding system. Implement best practices for inventory turnover and schedule cycle counts as necessary.

Shipping and Receiving Management:

Assist with shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accountability and efficiency. Organize and optimize warehouse space, stock locations, and inventory management processes. Coordinate inter-store and inter-company stock transfers while ensuring proper handling of returned merchandise. Ensure accurate loading of delivery trucks and assist with customer pickups as required.

Supervise, train, and manage warehouse staff, ensuring they meet performance expectations. Provide the payroll department with relevant information regarding warehouse and delivery staff compensation. Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and termination processes. Develop work schedules that align with business needs and facilitate team-building activities.

Safety and Security:

Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and maintain a high level of safety and security within the warehouse. Ensure that first aid training is current and that all equipment is well-maintained and safe for use.

Report any safety concerns to the Health and Safety Manager and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team lead role is essential. Proficiency in computer skills is required.
