Warehouse Operations Supervisor

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead and guide our warehouse team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse, guaranteeing the safe, accurate, and timely handling of products for our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire your team to achieve operational excellence by setting a high standard of performance and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Identify and resolve any obstacles hindering individual or team productivity, ensuring a seamless workflow.
  • Provide comprehensive training and coaching to warehouse associates, reinforcing adherence to established policies and procedures while maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal equipment condition and uphold rigorous warehouse safety protocols.
  • Analyze operational processes to identify areas for improvement, driving cost control and enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and training on system usage to maximize inventory accuracy and streamline operations.
  • Oversee security procedures and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility.
  • Effectively manage employee schedules and monitor productivity levels to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Champion a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the achievement of key performance indicators and contribute to the overall success of The Chefs' Warehouse.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in team leadership and motivation, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control principles, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with quality control systems and procedures to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to operate a 5-ton truck safely and efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making skills to effectively manage daily operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in learning and utilizing software systems for operational efficiency.
  • A passion for coaching and developing team members, fostering their growth and professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements, driving continuous optimization within the warehouse environment.
