Your Role

Our Red Deer office is seeking a Manager to lead the Assurance team and take on the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct audit and review engagements for both public and private clients, ensuring adherence to relevant professional standards and Firm policies.
  • Efficiently plan, oversee, and execute assurance and non-assurance engagements.
  • Engagements may involve assurance & accounting projects, including the preparation of financial statements, accounting advisory, and participation in tax services for assurance and non-assurance clients.
  • Continuously develop business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Address client concerns promptly, following BDO Policy while utilizing your strong technical skills and accounting expertise.
  • Leverage industry and business knowledge to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues pertinent to the client's operations.

Your Qualifications

  • Professional designation required (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA).
  • Minimum of 1 year of management experience in an accounting and/or assurance capacity.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Act as a leader within the Firm, with a continuous focus on employee engagement.
  • Extensive experience with IFRS and ASPE files.
