About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing team as Manager in our Red Deer office, working in our assurance and owner-managed service area. As a Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing service excellence, ensuring all aspects of our clients' service needs are met. Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as a key liaison between partners and junior staff
  • Perform technical research, developing and documenting planning recommendations
  • Research issues and prepare memoranda
  • Identify client service opportunities
  • Participate in special engagements
  • Enhance and develop community relationships and networks
  • Manage staff in the assurance and owner-managed client service group, providing daily guidance and coaching, developing their knowledge
  • Support and mentor firm staff
  • Prepare and present technical sessions for staff
  • Address and assess the firm's quality control
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a progressive public accounting firm and 2 years of that with your CPA designation and significant experience in assurance-related services
  • Sound technical knowledge of Canadian Assurance Standards
  • The ability to provide value-added service to our clients
  • Good technical knowledge in personal and basic corporate income tax
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused environment, including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
