Job Summary

Triovest is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Centre on Barton in Hamilton. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the assigned portfolio is managed and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the general tidiness of the property, focusing on exterior maintenance (95%) and assisting contracted staff with seasonal duties, including landscaping, mowing, snow removal, and garbage collection.
  • Perform daily garbage, cardboard, and recycling pickups.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute preventative maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, and minor repairs as required.
  • Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the property, both internally and externally.
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of promotional events.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Minimum one (1) year of building maintenance experience.
  • Experience with completing basic property repairs.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Experience working with and overseeing contractors is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Building Management Software, Angus Anywhere, is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (WHMIS, Lockout/tag out, fall protection, and mold) is considered an asset.
  • Ability to walk a significant amount (approximately 6-10 miles a day) between properties.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform work on ladders.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
