Position Overview

We are in search of a bilingual credit analyst to enhance our operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role encompasses credit-related functions, including managing debt recovery and liquidity requests, while upholding compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with sales, customer service, inventory, and billing teams to oversee customer transactions, which include printing, verifying, dispatching, and documenting customer invoices and credit notes.
  • Process bank deposits and credit card transactions efficiently.
  • Oversee accounts receivable collections as necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers.
  • Establish and monitor customer credit limits and payment terms in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer records and documentation.
  • Support advisors as required.
  • Engage with customers to ensure timely payments and address any discrepancies.
  • Manage all customer account transactions and inter-company accounting entries.
  • Open new accounts, verify credit histories, and set appropriate credit limits.
  • Respond to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep a record of all customer account disputes.
  • Document daily collection activities and ensure adherence to agreements.
  • Handle contract terminations and maintain necessary correspondence.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Accounting Diploma.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Training in credit management is advantageous.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with complex accounting systems in a Windows environment.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, initiative, analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Flexibility in compensation based on experience and achievement of goals.
  • Weekly payment structure.
  • Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
