We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Claims Director to oversee our Liability and Litigation team. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient, prompt, and courteous service to claimants, insureds, and brokers while upholding the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of claims settlement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Develop and implement strategies to achieve regional service, productivity, and quality objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Optimize workflow and operational procedures to ensure seamless claim handling processes. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Dispute Resolution Expertise: Oversee dispute settlement programs, including mediation sessions, internal reviews, and alternative dispute resolution methods. Provide guidance and support to legal counsel in managing litigation matters.
- Customer Focus: Champion a customer-centric approach throughout the claims process. Build strong relationships with claimants, brokers, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and timely resolutions.
- Post-secondary education in insurance or a related field.
- Completed or in progress PAA designation.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in property insurance, with a proven track record in managing complex claims.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in personnel management, demonstrating strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills.
