About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Construction Assistant at Nippy Construction Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Operations
    • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the work site.
    • Clean and lubricate cranes and other heavy equipment.
    • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Material Handling
    • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
    • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
    • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Building Maintenance
    • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
    • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
    • Pave and rake asphalt.
  • Site Cleanliness
    • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
    • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Support Services
    • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
    • Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience
    • Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Work Environment
    • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
    • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Work in noisy environments.
  • Work Setting
    • Be willing to relocate for work assignments.
    • Relocation costs will be covered by the employer.
    • Work in various locations across the country.
