We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Philanthropy Officer to lead the growth of our philanthropic work and strategy at Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Toronto Branch.

Established in 1953, CMHA Toronto is a leading mental health organization that provides essential community-based services and promotes mental health through education, research, and advocacy. Our mission is to promote mental health, support recovery from mental illness, and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropic strategy to drive growth and revenue
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and community partners
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to integrate philanthropy into the organization's overall strategy
• Manage and grow a team of fundraising professionals to achieve philanthropic goals
• Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship program to recognize and retain donors
• Analyze and report on philanthropic metrics to inform strategic decisions
• Stay up-to-date on best practices in philanthropy and fundraising to ensure the organization remains competitive and effective
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, or a related field
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing philanthropic strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing a team of fundraising professionals
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business, non-profit management, philanthropy)
