NCSY and Torah High, leading national outreach and educational organizations for Jewish youth, are seeking an enthusiastic National Chief Philanthropy Officer to spearhead fundraising initiatives.

The National Chief Philanthropy Officer will be responsible for defining the strategic vision and overseeing the implementation of the philanthropy program, in alignment with NCSY's growth objectives.

This role requires a strong commitment to fostering engagement and inspiring donations that enhance outreach and educational programs for the Jewish community.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the National Chief Philanthropy Officer will manage and expand our comprehensive fundraising strategy by developing effective systems and processes, including pipeline management and collaborative revenue generation with regional and national teams.

As the primary relationship steward, the National Chief Philanthropy Officer will maintain a portfolio of existing supporters and donors, nurturing and securing significant contributions while also creating new networks to enhance our donor base.

This position offers a unique opportunity for comprehensive onboarding, mentorship, and introductions to key community leaders and stakeholders, with the aim of eventually overseeing the entire philanthropy scope for the organization.

About NCSY

NCSY is the youth movement of the Orthodox Union, connecting with thousands of teens across North America, Chile, and Israel. Our mission is to connect, inspire, and empower Jewish teens, encouraging a passionate connection to Judaism through Torah and Tradition.

NCSY focuses on engaging Jewish teens in public schools with limited Jewish affiliation through innovative social and recreational programs that foster a positive Jewish identity. We inspire through informal education, retreats, and summer programs, empowering teens to become committed leaders within the Jewish community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans with measurable objectives and budgets, focusing on sustained revenue growth.
  • Implement moves management and donor pipeline strategies.
  • Establish policies for gift management and create major gift agreements.
  • Oversee donor database administration and prepare fundraising reports.
  • Formulate a donor acquisition strategy emphasizing prospect engagement and cultivation.
  • Provide coaching and performance management to build high-performing teams.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy and strengthen community ties.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and board members to enhance fundraising effectiveness.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in relationship building, fundraising, and philanthropy.
  • A successful track record in managing a donor portfolio and cultivating relationships for philanthropic support.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills to develop high-performance teams.
  • Experience working with boards and community leaders to enhance existing relationships.
  • Strategic planning abilities and creativity in building organizational capacity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey impact and build donor confidence.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and donor management tools.
  • Engagement with the Jewish community, particularly in education and youth initiatives.
