About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardlock Territory Manager to join our team at Parkland Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient site operations, managing OPEX for the territory, and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Operations and Safety
    • Lead by example and ensure the highest safety standards are met for all sites.
    • Train and support site operators to follow proper safety procedures and stay up-to-date on safety and regulatory standards.
    • Implement and monitor the effectiveness of new operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Profit and Loss Management
    • Ensure all sites within the territory meet their profitability targets and work with Finance to identify opportunities to reduce expenses.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and negotiate with third-party operators to reduce expenses.
    • Manage and approve operational invoices and assess requests for additional expenses or increased compensation.
  • Business Growth and Development
    • Work with the Sales team to identify priority focus areas for volume and growth.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
    • Collaborate with the Facilities and Real Estate teams to determine optimal strategies for maintenance, improvements, and leases at each site.
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Provide leadership and guidance to site operators and third-party contractors.
    • Communicate effectively with the Sales team, Facilities team, and Real Estate team to ensure seamless execution of site operations and business growth initiatives.
Requirements
  • College or university degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in operations management, preferably in the fuel business or cardlock industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage conflict.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
