About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machinist to join our team at The Finishing Store & Millworks Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate woodworking machines, including drills, planers, routers, sanders, and saws, to fabricate or repair wooden parts.
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure accurate production.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Replace parts as required to ensure efficient production.
Work Environment

As a Woodworking Machinist at The Finishing Store & Millworks Ltd, you will work in a fast-paced production environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads, making manual dexterity and attention to detail essential skills for this role.

Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
