Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machinist to join our team at The Finishing Store & Millworks Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure accurate production
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to maintain optimal performance
  • Replace parts as required to minimize downtime
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads
