Job Title: Woodworking Machine Operator

Education: Registered apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: Candidates should have between 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment: The role involves working in a noisy and dusty environment typical of wood products manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate both computerized and manual woodworking machinery.
  • Fabricate or repair wooden components for furniture and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions accurately.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating machinery, and replacing parts as necessary.

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with drills, planers, routers, sanders, and saws is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to handle heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding work requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is necessary.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.

Tools Required: Candidates must possess steel-toed safety boots.
