Overview of Responsibilities

In the capacity of Sales Manager for Canada, you will spearhead and coordinate all client interactions throughout the various stages of project development, from opportunity identification to order placement, ensuring the successful execution of sales initiatives for Siemens Energy's Gas Turbine offerings in the Oil & Gas and LNG sectors, applicable to both power generation and compression.

Your role will involve engaging with clients, EPC contractors, and process licensors for early-stage business development, nurturing relationships, and formulating and executing project sales strategies to secure orders for gas turbines. You will pinpoint key project evaluators, influencers, and decision-makers within the client organization, promoting the Siemens Energy value proposition at every phase of the acquisition process.

Key Contributions

  • Drive and execute successful gas turbine sales initiatives within the Oil & Gas and LNG market segments in Canada.
  • Maintain an accurate and timely opportunity list in Salesforce.
  • Craft winning strategies for each identified opportunity, aligning with customer requirements, equipment applications, aftermarket considerations, Siemens Energy strengths, competitor weaknesses, and a comprehensive market pricing strategy.
  • Lead technical and commercial discussions with clients until contract finalization.
  • Manage organizational risks throughout the sales development process, ensuring compliance with customer contractual obligations and providing reliable internal sales forecasts.
  • Deliver exceptional responsiveness to clients, providing quality information to enhance Siemens Energy's market position.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree or higher in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with at least 3 years in a sales or business development capacity. Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a higher-level position.
  • Technical expertise in gas turbines and/or centrifugal compressors is essential.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a focus on technical differentiation and value-based selling.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of discussing technical and commercial topics.
  • Proficient presentation skills, effective at all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and engage with all levels within the client organization.
  • Adherence to internal processes and policies is crucial.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary (approximately 25%).
