Position: Material Handling Specialist
FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handling Specialist to join our team in Brantford, ON. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center by safely and efficiently handling materials throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack full cases for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
- Retrieve and store pallets within a narrow aisle bulk rack system.
- Maintain high quality control standards to ensure accurate transactions.
- Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines.
- Assemble product pallets according to customer specifications.
- Securely wrap pallets using specialized machinery.
- Conduct equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Contribute to other distribution center operations as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating basic material handling equipment.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work at elevated heights.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach and collaborative team player.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
- Capacity to follow instructions and interpret information clearly.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift items weighing less than 60 pounds.
- Excellent visual acuity and depth perception.
- Flexibility to adjust focus and stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
