Job Summary

Bawa Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of woodwork, from preparation to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Overtime required
  • Physically demanding
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
