Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payments by receiving, verifying, and reconciling invoices
  • Accurately enter invoice data into the accounting system
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Communicate with vendors to address inquiries
  • Generate and analyze data reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies during payment processes
  • Maintain accurate data entry of financial transactions
  • Follow up with vendors regarding outstanding credits
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues

Qualifications and Skills:

  • College diploma in business administration, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to learn new systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle/JD Edwards)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data management
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
