Retail Meat Cutter

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Retail Meat Cutter to join our team at Yellowknife Direct Charge Co-operative Ltd. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Cutting and Preparing Meat: Clean and cut meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring all products meet our high standards.
- Meat Processing: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, as well as remove bones and weigh meats for sale.
- Meat Packaging: Wrap and package prepared meats, ensuring all products are properly labeled and stored.
- Customer Service: Sell meats to customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring all customer needs are met.
- Meat Preparation: Cut poultry into parts, price meat products, and clean and prepare fish and shellfish for sale.
- Special Orders: Prepare special orders, including slicing cooked meats and shaping, lacing, and tying roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
