Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement engaging summer programs for elderly participants.

  • Facilitate and lead various events and gatherings.
  • Conduct visits to seniors in their homes and healthcare facilities.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the health or living conditions of elderly individuals.
  • Follow up with seniors and volunteers to maintain strong relationships.
  • Help organize occasional outings to enrich the experiences of elderly participants.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and activities.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies (preferably having completed the second year) in fields such as social work, special education, psychology, leisure studies, or related disciplines.
  • Genuine passion for improving the lives of elderly individuals.
  • Understanding of the non-profit sector and its operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to be diplomatic and attentive to the needs of others.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Creative thinker with an innovative approach to problem-solving.

Employment Details

  • Temporary position for a duration of 8 weeks.
  • Work schedule of 35 hours per week.
  • Compensation set at $19 per hour.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including a combination of in-person and remote work.
