Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Manager to join our team at Holcim. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our concrete batch plant, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to safety policies and procedures, and ensuring that all employees follow safety guidelines.
  • Batching and Production: Schedule concrete deliveries, provide pricing to customers, order raw materials as needed, and ensure accurate batching to produce high-quality products.
  • HR and Coaching: Foster a positive and productive work environment, report disciplinary issues to management, and ensure employees have a clear understanding of their job responsibilities.
  • Environmental Compliance: Demonstrate a commitment to environmental excellence, adhere to procedures for environmental issues, and ensure spill containment is always available.
  • Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales, rejected, and resold products, submit reports to management, and ensure all invoices are approved.
  • Operations Analysis and Action Tracking: Utilize KPIs, performance reviews, and operational reports to track performance, establish effective action plans, and continuously improve operations.
  • Plant Image and Maintenance: Maintain the plant in accordance with standard guidelines, ensure all policies are followed, and monitor concrete washout and block making areas.

Qualification Profile

  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the ready mix industry.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency in SAP and Command-Alkon.
  • Self-motivated and customer service-oriented.
