Business Analyst - Epicor ERP Specialist

Position Overview

The Business Analyst – ERP will collaborate across various sectors within the Commercial and Supply Chain Management Department, as well as Program Delivery and Finance. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives associated with OSI's Epicor ERP software platform. The ideal candidate will excel in system optimization, process enhancement, project management, inventory oversight, and data analysis. Key responsibilities include interpreting stakeholder needs, refining ERP workflows, standardizing ERP usage through comprehensive guidelines, developing user training programs, conducting cost-benefit analyses for customization requests, executing ERP system modifications, and analyzing data to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Planning

  • Conduct thorough research on ERP implementation challenges, identify root causes, and devise practical solutions.
  • Utilize project management tools to create detailed task schedules and monitor progress.
  • Adjust project efforts as necessary to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.

System Administration and Analytics

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all ERP system modules.
  • Analyze and consolidate the organization's ERP requirements and assess system capabilities.
  • Recommend enhancements to optimize ERP utilization and collaborate with IT to implement changes.
  • Design and implement custom workflows and dashboards to meet business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ERP modules.
  • Develop user-friendly functionalities and interfaces.
  • Stay informed about the latest ERP updates and features.
  • Extract and analyze data to summarize trends and highlight areas of concern.
  • Present complex data in an easily digestible format for management review.
  • Utilize Excel and PowerBI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, and billing.
  • Transform data insights into actionable narratives.

Governance

  • Translate strategic objectives into governance and process documentation.
  • Analyze inputs from various sources and standardize documentation.
  • Create detailed process maps and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training on system upgrades and new processes.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in a relevant field such as computer science or a combination of education and experience in systems administration and business analytics.
  • ERP certification, particularly in Epicor, is an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP development tools and business processes.
  • Strong understanding of system administration and business analytics best practices.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, especially Epicor, and Excel.
  • Ability to analyze and report on large datasets effectively.
  • Experience in critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Capability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
