About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Enhanced Care Program at Fraser Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialized occupational therapy services to clients, promoting functional independence and occupational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' functional capacity, occupational profile, and support needs to develop personalized service plans.
  2. Service Delivery: Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services, including individual and group interventions, to clients in their homes and communities.
  3. Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, community agencies, and clients' support systems to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
  4. Education and Training: Educate clients, families, and healthcare professionals on independent living skills, occupational performance, and environmental adaptations.
  5. Quality Improvement and Risk Management: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  6. Leadership and Supervision: Supervise occupational therapy students and provide guidance to junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)
  • Two (2) years' recent related experience working in a community setting
  • Valid B.C. Class V Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes
  • Strong leadership and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a community team setting and independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
  • Ability to problem-solve and exercise sound clinical reasoning
