Your Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments of clients' physical and cognitive capabilities within a clinical environment, utilizing various evaluation methods including job demands analyses and functional capacity evaluations.
  2. Develop and execute personalized treatment strategies grounded in thorough analysis and clinical judgment.
  3. Provide education to clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral techniques, and activities to enhance functional tolerance.
  4. Facilitate return-to-work initiatives, including job coaching and accommodation suggestions.
  5. Utilize electronic charting software to document treatment sessions and ensure timely report submissions to relevant stakeholders.
  6. Engage in case management and case conferences.
  7. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team at your clinic.
  8. Oversee Occupational Therapy students as preferred.
  9. Network with stakeholders to advocate for Lifemark OT programs.
  10. Manage a diverse caseload in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Registered member in good standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  2. Experience in treating clients with physical, neurological, and mental health conditions.
  3. Ability to work autonomously while also being an effective team player.
  4. Commitment to ongoing professional development post-graduation.
  5. Experience with auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSBC referrals is advantageous.
  6. Experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly valued. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  7. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
