Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registration/Booking Coordinator to join our team at the Neuro Clinic. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, registering patients, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up appointments using a computerized scheduling system, ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Register patients upon arrival, ensuring that all necessary information is complete and accurate, and follow up with patients as necessary.
- Perform referral functions, including gathering additional information, performing data entry, and processing related paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, responding to inquiries and requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records and statistics.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other administrative staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare policies, and procedures to provide accurate and effective support to patients and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Grade 12, plus two (2) years' recent experience in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to keyboard 45 wpm and possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
