Position Overview:

Department: IT Support

As a User Support Specialist at CGS Federal, you will be responsible for managing, tracking, and diagnosing IT systems while ensuring exceptional customer service, effective communication, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to users experiencing various IT-related issues
  • Install and maintain hardware and software for the organization
  • Physically relocate IT equipment as necessary
  • Manage user accounts effectively
  • Monitor and troubleshoot IT systems
  • Utilize trouble tickets to track and resolve issues
  • Conduct training sessions for district users
  • Maintain accurate records of IT equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivering direct end-user support for the applications in use, including both telephone and on-site assistance
  • Certain applications may necessitate certification from the software provider
  • Previous experience in teaching or training related to computer applications, particularly in database, imaging, or automated litigation support applications is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with the network, telecommunications, and operating systems relevant to the applications supported is essential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automated litigation support is advantageous
  • Knowledge of DOJ office automation environments is extremely beneficial; expertise in government word processing, spreadsheet, and email systems is expected
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Professional telephone etiquette is important; an undergraduate degree is valued
