Position Overview
The Mammography Technologist in Medical Imaging plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services. This position is dedicated to performing mammography and bone density examinations that align with departmental standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities
As a Mammography Technologist, your primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting all necessary breast imaging and bone density assessments as required, along with additional tasks as directed by supervisory staff. Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and radiation protection protocols for patients, staff, and visitors. Taking operational responsibility during your shifts. Assisting Radiologists as needed to facilitate patient care. Maintaining proper care of imaging equipment, examination rooms, and supplies. Following established protocols and procedures within the Medical Imaging Department.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess: Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Breast Imaging Technologist. Completion of essential CAMRT courses: Breast Imaging 1, Breast Imaging 2, Imaging Breast Pathology, and Breast Positioning Virtual Lecture. A completed certificate (or commitment to complete) in Breast Imaging-Diagnostic. Preferred experience in Bone Mineral Density assessments. Current CBMD certification with the OAR is advantageous. Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Excel. BCLS certification is beneficial. Preferred post-graduate experience in a healthcare setting. Membership with CAMRT is recommended. Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

This is a Part-Time Casual Position, consisting of 8-hour day shifts, including weekends, on an as-needed basis in Breast Imaging and Bone Density/Medical Imaging. We offer a competitive compensation package, which includes pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay, and the opportunity to participate in the Hospital Pension Plan.
